Smokey Skies
Smoke from the massive Rim Fire in Yosemite NP infiltrated the skies over the Oakhurst and surround area and created some interesting visuals
Pines & Smoke
Taken at a turn-off along Beasore Road near Bass Lake, the thick smoke from the Rim Fire, burning miles away in Yosemite NP, creates a very ominous feeling in the area.
Forked Sun
Another shot taken up Beasore Road during the Rim Fire.
Early Night
The thick smoke from the Rim Fire blanketed much of the Oakhurst area for a few days. Here, high up on Beasore Rd near Bass Lake, you get a sense of how thick it was by how much sunlight was blocked and the ominous feeling it created.

Blaze
The El Portal Fire, an almost 5K acre blaze that scorched the areas of El Portal and Foresta along Hwy 140 started not quite a year after the massive Rim Fire burned more than 250K acres near and in Yosemite National Park. Captured this image of the blaze at night along Wawona Road in YNP.
